You can get by without having to tank with Hammer/Perception/Reprecussion if you choose your mobs properly. but only when you're one turn from life/death. That's where Reprecussion will come in handy. Felinition/Leap is a great combo for saving your hide on several occasions but not always usable. Close Combat with Leap, Perception, Reprecussion and a good hammer will really make a difference early. Try to avoid relying on it if you can help it. HoT will slow get better and better but it will be really only so-so until at least level 40 or so. Get Reprecussion leveled to 3 or 4 to save your butt when you should be toast. My suggestion on the STR build for solo players early on is Perception + Gob Hammer. Nothing right away until you can get 100ish base STR and hopefully obtain Felintion. There are other builds out there but very rare (since the bluff nerf). You can also become a crazy force with spells like Feline Spirit and Rekop but this entire build comes down to luck. but most of the time (over the length of a fight) will reduce how much damage you take. It's basically a shield that can be really awesome or really bad. Then again, it can kill you on a hit that shouldn't have but the statistics show that it's (over time) a 50% damage reduction. Gambler is probably preferred for PvPing and can be a difference maker to a solo player since Luck can keep you alive even when you should be dead. It is very powerful, though (with much higher average damage than Playful Claw, Claw of Ceangal, or Fate of Ecaflip), so if you don't mind the risk, by all means level it and add it to your arsenal. * Yeah, I know, there's also Feline Spirit at level 48, but with a 50% of damaging the caster, I don't recommend it as a main attack. With Fairy Sette, Otomai Island, and the Class Doppels, unlearning spells is easier than ever these days, so don't be afraid to experiment. Ecaflips have some weird and unpredictable attacks, so try them out and see if you can put together a unique build rather than following anyone else's (even mine). Look into the Earth Kwak set (and a +80 Strength Earth Bwak pet, which will be good long after you stop using the Earth Kwak Set until you can get a mount), the Green Scaraleaf Set (plus other items for AP and MP), and the Royal Pippin Set (again, with other items filling out the equipment).Īnd have fun. Choose Gobball Set items (amulet and hat) with low +Intelligence bonuses, because Intelligence affects the healing portion of Heads or Tails. Visit Bonta, but leave before it makes you too soft.įinally, if you go this route (which I suggest), don't raise Intelligence too much. Visit Brakmar, but leave before it makes you too hard. With some enemies, it's best to Felintion, Run, Repeat Until Dead, so equipment that gives MP and a few points into Feline's Leap never hurts.ĭon't raise Smell past Level 2. You're not a Sacrier or an Iop, and melee combat with everything is not always the best course of action. Even after level 100, Felintion is still a staple of my solo game.įurthermore, keep mobile. HoT and Felintion will be your only* Earth spells until level 70 (when you get Playful Claw), so you'll be relying on them for a long time, and Felintion's health-stealing will save your life. I also suggest Felintion (gotten from the Ecaflip Class Temple), level 5, as soon as you can get there and beat your Dopple.
